Up to 70,000 won off regular stays, up to 50,000 won off island accommodations

One coupon per person, first-come first-served through 13 online travel agencies until Nov. 8

South Gyeongsang Province and the South Gyeongsang Tourism Foundation are running the second-half edition of the "2026 Korea Accommodation Sale Festa" from Tuesday through Nov. 8 to attract overnight tourists during the fall season.

A total of 16,000 discount coupons have been allocated for the province. The project is funded on a 50-50 matching basis between national and provincial budgets, with a total of 536 million won ($394,000) committed — including 268 million won in provincial funds.

Discounts are divided into a "main" category and an "island" category. The main category covers all 18 cities and counties in the province: bookings of 20,000 won or more but under 70,000 won receive a 20,000 won discount, while bookings of 70,000 won or more receive 30,000 won off. Multi-night packages priced at 140,000 won or more are eligible for discounts of up to 70,000 won.

Guests staying at accommodations on inhabited islands in seven coastal cities and counties — Changwon, Tongyeong, Sacheon, Geoje, Goseong, Namhae and Hadong — qualify for the larger island-category discounts. Bookings of 30,000 won or more but under 70,000 won receive 30,000 won off, and bookings of 70,000 won or more receive 50,000 won off.

Any South Korean national aged 19 or older can claim one coupon per person on a first-come, first-served basis through the websites or apps of 13 participating online travel agencies, including NOL, My Real Trip and Yeogieoddae. Because the program operates nationwide, coupons cannot be combined with accommodation discount coupons issued by other local governments.

Coupons expire automatically if not used on the day they are issued, but travelers can claim a new one the following day if supply remains. The final date for stays using the coupons is Nov. 8, when the event ends.

Eligible accommodations are those officially registered or reported to their local government under the Tourism Promotion Act and the Public Health Control Act. Hotels, condominiums and registered pension guesthouses are included, but unregistered home-sharing platforms such as Airbnb and illegal lodging facilities are excluded.

"Autumn is a season rich with fall foliage, silver grass and festivals," said Kim Sang-won, director of the province's tourism development bureau. "We hope this accommodation sale festa gives travelers visiting South Gyeongsang Province a chance to enjoy a value-packed trip, and provides real momentum for the local tourism industry."
