Two-day event at Seoul DDP Art Hall on Oct. 2-3

Tailored talks on real estate, stocks, tax savings and education

For investors from first-timers in their 20s to seasoned wealth holders in their 50s and 60s

In an era when money moves faster than ever, navigating a constantly shifting financial landscape and evolving market policies has become increasingly difficult for investors. What they need now is a "rebalancing" — a recalibration of where their assets stand.

The Herald Business and The Korea Herald will host Herald Money Festa 2026 alongside the country's top personal finance experts Oct. 2-3. Now in its third year, the event will be held under the theme "Money Rebalancing," exploring how to reset and realign one's asset portfolio.

The festival opens with a keynote by Kim Kyung-pil, chief executive of Money Training Lab and widely known by his online nickname "Donjjulnam." A bestselling personal finance author and economic columnist, Kim will speak on "The Future of AI-Driven Innovation: A New Era of Wealth Management," sharing practical asset management tips accessible to anyone.

Morning sessions will cover the fundamentals of wealth management along with insights on the stock market and education. Yoo Dong-won, a division head at Yuanta Securities Korea, will introduce promising sectors in global equity markets. Kim Eun-kyung, chairwoman of the Credit Recovery Committee and head of the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, will offer guidance on sound financial habits for young people and strategies for "credit rebalancing." Bang Jong-im, chief executive of Daegikija Corporation and a journalist who has covered the education beat for 19 years, will also take the stage to share a roadmap for raising children in the age of AI.

Afternoon sessions will shift to hands-on investment strategies spanning real estate, equities and alternative assets. Kim Hak-ryul, director of Smart Tube Real Estate Research Institute and widely known by his pen name "Ppasong," will assess the housing market under the theme "Will home prices rise or fall next year?" Lee Jae-man, head of global investment analysis at Hana Securities and a speaker at all three editions of Herald Money Festa, will take a deep dive into the outlook for US and domestic stock markets and how investors should respond.

ETF heads from the country's leading asset managers will then gather to discuss market strategies. Yuk Dong-hwi, head of ETF product marketing at KB Asset Management; Cheon Ki-hun, head of the SOL ETF team at Shinhan Asset Management; and Choi Chang-gyu, head of ETF consulting at Mirae Asset Global Investments, will identify promising sectors amid heightened market volatility.

Late-afternoon presentations will cover policy shifts, macroeconomic analysis and family wealth planning. Kim In-man, head of Kim In-man Real Estate Economic Research Institute, will redefine the benchmark for the "one prized property" strategy. Yoon Su-min, a senior real estate specialist in the wealth management division at NH NongHyup Bank, will outline survival strategies amid sweeping real estate policy changes. Jo Gyu-won, chief executive of Stackers and known by the nickname "Yangberry," will explain how to invest in gold. Oh Geon-young, head of Premier Pathfinder at Shinhan Bank, will then survey the macroeconomic shifts of the Donald Trump 2.0 era. Closing out the first day, Lee Eun-jung, head of the wealth management division at Hana Bank, will share strategies for planning the financial future of an entire family.

The second day brings another lineup of star speakers to broaden investors' market perspective. "Agigom," who runs the country's largest real-name real estate community and works as a real estate columnist, will open with a talk on where the housing market is headed. Yeom Seung-hwan, a director at LS Securities' digital sales division known by the nickname "Yeombbly," will make the case that AI-driven revaluation of the Korean stock market is set to continue. Oh Tae-min, chief executive of Otaebus, will examine the convergence of crypto and traditional finance and the shifts in financial order brought on by the spread of prediction markets.

Afternoon sessions on the second day will focus on portfolio strategy, taxation, legal matters and education for investors. Choi Ji-sun, a director at Woori Investment Securities' Gangnam financial center, will introduce a framework for building a personalized investment portfolio. Kim Hye-ri, chief executive of tax firm HKL and known as "Tax Unni," will explain how to redesign an asset portfolio for next year, while Kim Je-kyung, director of Tumi Real Estate Consulting, will lay out strategies for buying a home in Seoul.

Moon Seong, an attorney at law firm Yulchon, will address institutional investors' exercise of shareholder rights and the investment opportunities this creates for retail investors. Park Min-su, a bestselling stock investment author who goes by the pen name "Choegoминsu," will guide attendees on the right approach to ETF investing. Bae Seong-gi, chief executive of Dad and Future Education and known as "Hyeonseo's Dad," will draw attention with a talk comparing the outcomes — nine years on — of English-language kindergartens versus YouTube-based learning. Closing the two-day program, tax accountant Baek Jong-won of tax firm Wise will present a tailored tax-saving guide for homeowners.

Beyond the lectures, a range of side events will offer attendees hands-on experiences and special perks. These include a free fortune-telling and traditional life-cycle consultation covering key life decisions such as starting a business, investing, buying property, inheritance and job hunting; a personal color diagnosis session to help attendees discover their most flattering palette; and a self-administered gua sha massage class for stress and fatigue relief.

A stamp tour event will also be held, with attendees picking up a sheet at the registration desk, visiting designated booths and collecting stamps. Those who complete the mission will be entered into a prize draw, with winners receiving gifts on the spot.
