Doosan Enerbility is entering the residential market under its new housing brand TRIVN, with its first project set for Gaheung-dong in Yeongju, North Gyeongsang Province. The company plans to bring the engineering expertise and quality and safety management capabilities it has built in the global energy sector to its housing ventures.

Doosan Enerbility announced Wednesday that it is moving ahead with the TRIVN Gaheung development in Gaheung-dong, Yeongju. The complex will comprise eight buildings rising 29 stories above ground with two basement levels, for a total of 765 units.

TRIVN is expanding rapidly to key locations across the country. Alongside TRIVN Gaheung, a 1,644-unit development called TRIVN Centum is planned for Haeundae-gu in Busan. The brand's philosophy centers on creating new value for individuals, society and the planet.

Doosan Enerbility intends to apply the same standards it has developed in global power generation and nuclear energy to its residential business. The company plans to combine that track record with specialized construction know-how accumulated through projects including Seoulsup Trimaje and other apartment developments to raise the quality of TRIVN Gaheung's residential offering.

Doosan Enerbility has built its technical and project-execution capabilities through large-scale energy projects worldwide, including major nuclear power plants and combined-cycle gas power facilities. Beyond domestic offshore wind, the company is strengthening its position in future energy markets through its proprietary gas turbines and next-generation small modular reactor technology.

Its global footprint is equally solid. This year the company has secured a string of major energy project participations across Europe — including the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic — as well as in the United States and the Middle East. Notable achievements include being named a strategic partner for key components of Rolls-Royce's SMR program in the UK, joining TerraPower's next-generation SMR component manufacturing effort in the US, and winning a large-scale combined-cycle gas power project in Oman.
