Consulting, design time cut by half

Posco DX is now deploying AI agents in the consulting work it conducts before building AI agent systems for clients.

The company said Tuesday it has developed and deployed "Agentee-C," a tool that works alongside human consultants to carry out business diagnostics, requirements analysis and design documentation as part of the AI agent adoption process.

Under the previous approach, consultants interviewed frontline staff on each project, analyzed workflows, identified areas for AI application and then handled the design work themselves. Posco DX said it developed Agentee-C after concluding that this method could not keep pace with the surge in demand for AI transformation, or AX, across multiple business functions simultaneously.

Agentee-C supports business analysis during the consulting process and automates the preparation of related deliverables. Posco DX said the tool is expected to cut the time spent on consulting and design by more than half, allowing faster transitions to the AI agent development and operation stages.

The business analysis and design outputs that Agentee-C produces are linked to Agentee, an integrated AI agent management platform that Posco DX developed in-house.

Agentee manages the full lifecycle of AI agents — from development and operation to evaluation and redeployment. Consulting results generated in Agentee-C feed directly into Agentee for use in building and running AI agents, connecting every stage of the AX process from planning and design through to development and operation.

Posco DX established an "AI Workforce TF" task force this year to accelerate its AX consulting and AI agent development and operation efforts.

Agentee-C went into operation in July and has been applied first to the company's own AX projects to build up practical experience. Based on that foundation, Posco DX plans to refine its consulting methodology to suit different industries and client characteristics by the end of this year, and to expand the tool's application to external AX projects.

"The success or failure of AI transformation depends less on which AI tools are used and more on how work is divided and collaboration is designed between people and AI," a Posco DX official said. "We will continue to support the rapid and systematic identification of AX projects using AI agents, and ensure that everything from development to operation and management is carried out efficiently."

Meanwhile, Posco DX announced in July a strategy to become an "AI-native company" built on two pillars: physical AI for industrial settings and agentic AI for office work. The plan calls for spreading physical AI across industrial sites while pursuing workplace automation through AI agents in office operations.
