Applications open to pro baseball fans through Oct. 5
Three teams of up to five selected
Winners receive Atlas test vehicle, accommodation near stadium and cheering supplies
One team gets a special host and driver
Volkswagen Korea will support pro baseball fans making away-game trips during the postseason with a full-size Atlas SUV and accommodation. Groups of up to five — family members, friends or others — can apply together, and three teams will be selected in total.
The company announced Monday it is running a promotion called "Volkswagen Great Expedition" targeting pro baseball fans.
The event is timed to coincide with the postseason, which follows the end of the regular season. The idea is to give fans who travel to stadiums in other cities to cheer on their teams a chance to experience the Atlas firsthand — specifically its long-distance driving capability and interior space.
Any pro baseball fan can apply. Participants form a group of up to five people — family, friends or anyone joining the away trip. Applications are open through Oct. 5 via a sign-up page linked from Volkswagen Korea's official Instagram profile.
Volkswagen Korea will select three teams from among all applicants and notify each individually.
Selected teams will receive an Atlas test vehicle to use during their postseason away trip, along with accommodation near the stadium. Cheering supplies and Volkswagen merchandise will also be provided. One of the three teams will additionally be accompanied by a special host who will serve as the driver.
The Atlas featured in the promotion is Volkswagen's full-size SUV. Designed with spacious seating for multiple passengers and ample cargo room, it targets long-distance family travel and group outings — making it a natural fit for a baseball away trip, where fans pile in together with cheering gear and luggage.
"Hitting the road together to cheer on your favorite team is one of the special joys that only postseason baseball can offer," said Shin Dong-hyup, executive director of marketing communications at Volkswagen Korea. "We hope the 'Volkswagen Great Expedition' lets baseball fans enjoy their away trips more comfortably in the Atlas and create unforgettable postseason memories with the people who matter most to them."
Meanwhile, Volkswagen Korea has also been stepping up its domestic customer service operations. This month, the company held the "2026 Volkswagen Technical Championship," a skills competition involving 90 technicians from authorized service centers nationwide, with the top three finishers awarded overseas training opportunities.
