'Hope Agriculture Partner Company' plaque ceremony held in South Gyeongsang Province
Only firm in the province selected among 10 nationwide
Loan rate cut by 0.3 percentage points; loan-to-value ratio also eased
NH NongHyup Bank's South Gyeongsang Province division has designated Migawon Co., a food manufacturer that promotes consumption of locally grown agricultural products, as its "2026 Hope Agriculture Partner Company," holding a plaque ceremony Monday. Migawon is the only firm selected from South Gyeongsang Province among the 10 companies NH NongHyup Bank chose nationwide this year.
The Hope Agriculture Partner Company program identifies outstanding companies that use a high proportion of domestically sourced raw materials and contribute to the well-being of farming households, rewarding them with financial benefits. Eligible companies must derive at least 20 percent of their annual revenue from purchases of agricultural and livestock raw materials and pass a qualification review.
Migawon, headquartered in Yangsan, is a small and medium-sized manufacturer that produces processed duck products, including smoked and fresh duck meat. Since its founding in 2008, the company has built a systematic quality management system and obtained eco-friendly agricultural certification as well as Inno-Biz certification.
The company posted annual revenue of 16.5 billion won ($11.9 million) last year and employs 21 full-time staff. Since 2024, it has maintained a stable supply of raw materials and distribution channels through a goods supply agreement with NH Agri Business Holdings.
NH NongHyup Bank's South Gyeongsang Province division will extend concrete financial benefits to Migawon following the designation. Through a dedicated credit product, the bank will apply a preferential loan rate of up to 0.3 percentage points below the standard rate and ease the loan-to-value ratio on real estate collateral loans. Support for expanding sales channels and promoting the company's products will also be provided.
"The growth of agri-food companies is directly tied to securing stable markets for local farming households," said Kwon Dong-hyeon, head of NH NongHyup Bank's South Gyeongsang Province division. "We will continue to provide meaningful financial support to companies that increase their purchases of domestically grown produce and put mutual growth into practice."
Jung Young-kyung, CEO of Migawon, said the designation had deepened her sense of responsibility. "We have grown alongside local farming communities, and this recognition makes us feel even more accountable," she said. "We will strengthen our quality competitiveness and do our part to boost consumption of Korean agricultural products."
