Singer and actor IU shared her personal diet and health tips with fans Sunday.

A stage greeting event for the concert films "IU Concert: The Golden Hour" and "IU Concert: The Winning" was held Sunday at CGV Yongsan iPark Mall. The event marked the 18th anniversary of IU's debut, bringing her together with her fan club, Uaena, for a special occasion.

IU told the audience she hoped they would enjoy a meal and chat about the film after the screening. "I think it'll be just about the right time to feel a little hungry when the movie ends, so I hope you'll grab something delicious and talk about it together," she said. One fan called out, asking for a menu recommendation.

"Should I recommend something? I suggested tteokbokki to the earlier audience, but I want to recommend something different here," IU said. "How about something like this — boiled eggs with some cucumber sliced up, and bibimmyeon on the side?"

When another fan asked what she planned to eat for dinner that Monday evening, IU replied, "Me? Well, I'll probably just have boiled eggs."

The unexpected answer drew audible groans from the crowd, but IU laughed and went on to explain her eating habits in more detail.

"It's filling," she said. "If you drizzle olive oil over two boiled eggs and eat them, you won't feel hungry all day."

When fans responded with skeptical groans again, IU insisted the method was drawn from her own experience.

"Try it once. The olive oil is the key — I think having some fat in there makes a difference. If you eat that in the morning, you won't be hungry all day," she said, sharing her personal dietary secret.

IU is known to maintain a weight of around 44 kilograms. In 2024, she appeared on a program and said she chews each bite about 150 times.
