A truck plowed into a crowd at a flea market in front of a library in Gongdo-eup, Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, on Saturday morning, striking six people.

A woman in her 30s and a teenage boy were transported to hospital in cardiac arrest, according to Yonhap. Three others — a woman and a man in their 20s and a man in his 60s — were taken to hospital with injuries including leg fractures.

A woman in her 50s received emergency treatment at the scene for breathing difficulties.

A large number of people had gathered at the venue, where the flea market was underway at the time.

Police and fire department officials are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident by questioning the driver and witnesses.
