Actor Lee Seo-jin is showing his trademark prickly-but-warm charm alongside rising girl group RESCENE.
A preview for the RESCENE episode of SBS's "Whatever You Want — Secretary Jin" aired at the end of Friday's broadcast.
In the episode, Lee and fellow actor Kim Gwang-gyu — whose average age is 56.5 — grumbled about having to look after the RESCENE members, whose average age is 20.6. "You should be taking care of us old folks," the two complained.
When RESCENE brought up the "Ya-ho" meme that helped put the group on the map, Lee shot back with "What's Ya-ho?" Kim responded with a non-sequitur: "What does your father do?"
The RESCENE members suffered through the generational gap with Lee and Kim, complaining that the two "walk too slowly." After enduring their constant demands, Lee exclaimed, "You're no different from Seo In-young."
Lee also offered the group some pointed advice: "If you make a lot of money, happiness is bound to follow."
Member Woni pushed back, asking, "Is money really everything?" Lee was firm. "It is, it absolutely is," he said, and even on set he kept up the tough-love lesson: "All of this is money. Smile."
The RESCENE episode of "Secretary Jin" will skip one week due to broadcast coverage of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and return as a special expanded edition on Oct. 2.
