Senton's Centlier fragrance brand enters Musinsa Beauty Hongdae following Seongsu debut
Whether K-scent can reach customers at home and abroad through the Musinsa Beauty platform is drawing attention.
Musinsa Beauty recently opened its first standalone store in Mapo-gu, Seoul, according to industry sources Friday. The beauty retailer had previously opened a shop-in-shop inside Musinsa Megastore Seongsu in April.
The standalone store, Musinsa Beauty Hongdae, spans 1,262 square meters — from the basement level to the third above-ground floor — and houses more than 600 beauty brands.
Fragrance company Senton has brought its perfume brand Centlier into the Hongdae store, occupying the first and second floors. The brand offers 15 products, including eau de parfums and perfume hand creams. The eau de parfums come in 10, 30 and 50 milliliter sizes, allowing customers to sample scents and choose the option that suits their preference.
The first floor features five eau de parfums — "Orange Blossom Toscana," "English Daisy," "Fjord Glass," "Santal Boisé" and "Citrus Positano." On the second floor, customers can try four perfume hand creams: "Orange Blossom Toscana," "English Daisy," "Fjord Glass" and "Flower233."
The Hongdae entry follows Centlier's earlier placement in the Musinsa Beauty section at the Seongsu store, expanding the brand's customer touchpoints.
"Trying and comparing fragrances in person is crucial to the purchase decision, so we wanted to broaden that hands-on experience," a Senton spokesperson said. "We plan to introduce the brand to customers in their 20s and 30s as well as foreign tourists."
