The Busan Port Authority held its 2026 Overseas Representative Strategy Conference on Thursday at its headquarters in Busan, bringing together staff from five overseas offices covering Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, China and Japan.

The meeting was organized to strengthen collaboration between headquarters and the overseas staff who had traveled to Korea to attend the 2026 Busan International Port Conference (BIPC 2026), held Tuesday through Wednesday, and to share the latest market trends and key issues gathered from the field.

At the conference, each overseas office presented its operational achievements for 2026 and shared regional shipping, port and logistics market trends, along with updates and plans for overseas projects currently underway in their respective areas.

Amid ongoing volatility in the global trade environment and continued uncertainty in supply chains, the Busan Port Authority said it plans to further strengthen coordination between its headquarters and overseas offices — enabling each office to leverage regional characteristics and local networks to expand ties with shipping lines and logistics firms, and to channel intelligence and partnership opportunities gathered in the field into port marketing and new overseas projects.
