The Daegu-North Gyeongsang Free Economic Zone Authority dispatched a trade mission to Turkey for seven days beginning Sept. 6, holding export consultation sessions to help tenant companies gain a foothold in European and Middle Eastern markets and expand their overseas sales channels.

Eight companies based in the Daegu-North Gyeongsang Free Economic Zone took part in the mission, conducting 110 export consultations with local buyers worth $15.42 million.

The delegation also signed nine MOUs with local buyers, laying the groundwork for future export expansion.

Kim Hee-seok, acting chief of the Daegu-North Gyeongsang Free Economic Zone Authority, said the agency would not rest on the initial results achieved on the ground. "We will provide close support all the way through to ensure that the discussions and agreements reached at the consultation sessions translate into actual export contracts and deliver mutual benefit," Kim said.
