Lotte Outlet Isinapolis will hold the "Daegu and North Gyeongsang Woori-sul Festival" at its first-floor central plaza from Friday through Sunday.

The event was conceived as a mutual-growth project following a meeting in July with the leadership of the Daegu Traditional Liquor Industry Development Council.

Six breweries will take part: Nongup Hoesa Beoprin Buro, Dalseong Brewing, Chilbaek Brewing, Sanghwa Brewing, Daegu Traditional Liquor and Neujigol Woori-sul.

Nongup Hoesa Beoprin Buro will showcase "Gamu Eoheung Makgeolli," a local specialty liquor developed by the Bullodong Urban Regeneration Field Support Center in Dong-gu, Daegu. The drink combines glutinous rice and regular rice grown in Daegu with locally grown apples, producing a rich fruity aroma and natural acidity.

Dalseong Brewing will present a traditional liquor made from Yuga glutinous rice, while Chilbaek Brewing will feature products using Jinju rice and oriental melon it grows itself.

Sanghwa Brewing has prepared an unconventional offering made with mint and cherries, while Daegu Traditional Liquor will bring a specialty liquor crafted from sprout ginseng.

Neujigol Woori-sul will introduce a traditional "oyangju," fermented and aged for more than five months.

Tasting sessions will run throughout the festival.

"We organized this event to introduce customers to the diverse traditional liquors made by local breweries for chuseok, and to open new sales channels for local producers," said Choi Jong-hun, manager of Lotte Outlet Isinapolis. "We will continue to develop content that allows us to grow together with local producers."
