Event set for Saturday at Jakcheonjeong multipurpose plaza in Samnam-eup, featuring drone experiences and hands-on activities

Ulju-gun in Ulsan will host the 2026 Ulju Drone Festival starting at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jakcheonjeong Multipurpose Plaza in Samnam-eup.

The day's program includes a drone light show, three types of drone-piloting experiences, AI robot experiences, hands-on making activities, a disaster safety experience, performances and an exhibition.

Ulju-gun will also display advanced drone aircraft linked to its drone special free zone and drone demonstration city project, giving residents a firsthand look at the current state of the local drone industry.

A celebratory concert featuring singers Chae Yeon, Lee Ji-hoon and Sleepy is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., 1,300 drones will take to the night sky above Jakcheonjeong in a three-dimensional, dynamic drone light show.

"The drone festival is an opportunity to experience the diverse appeal of cutting-edge drone technology against the backdrop of Ulju's beautiful natural scenery," a Ulju-gun official said.
