Five specialist VCs join as partners for 12-month tailored growth program

The Banking Industry Foundation for Startup Incubation, known as D.CAMP, is stepping up efforts to nurture deep tech startups poised to lead the next generation of advanced industries.

D.CAMP announced Wednesday that it has finalized the selection of 10 deep tech startups for the eighth cohort of its in-house scale-up program, D.CAMP Batch.

Batch 8 focused on startups operating in cutting-edge technology sectors, including space and aerospace, defense, robotics, energy, semiconductors, healthcare and eco-friendly materials.

The 10 selected companies are: Leospace, which develops optical and optical-communications payloads for ultra-small low-orbit satellites; Biz, which designs the ultra-small modular reactor "BeSMART"; Seoul Dynamics, which builds physical AI-based autonomous heavy-duty work mobility robots; Steplab, which makes separation, ejection and deployment mechanisms for space applications; Anabatic Semi, a fabless semiconductor company developing battery management system chips for electric vehicles and energy storage systems; WithRobot, which makes AI robots for industrial safety diagnostics; Insera Solution, which develops ultra-precision laser beam optical control platforms for space and defense use; JJ&Companies, which makes integrated control systems for eco-friendly ship fuel supply; Cartech H, which produces recycled carbon fiber using low-temperature solvent decomposition technology; and Giftshade, which operates an RNA analysis data platform for blood liquid biopsy.

Five venture capital firms specializing in deep tech investment — A.Ventures, IM Investment Partners, Intervalue Partners, L&S Venture Capital and SJ Investment Partners — participated as collaborative partners, jointly conducting the selection screening and investment review. D.CAMP plans to provide the selected companies with a customized scale-up program over the next 12 months, covering everything from business diagnostics to investment linkage.

Meanwhile, D.CAMP is accepting applications for Batch 9 through Oct. 14. The program targets startups in the IT services and solutions sector, and applications can be submitted through D.CAMP's official website.
