A total of 378 parking lots at schools and education administration offices across Daegu will be open free of charge to homebound travelers and local residents during the Chuseok holiday.
The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education said Wednesday that the lots will be available from Sept. 24 through Sept. 27, excluding facilities temporarily closed due to construction or other reasons.
The lots are located at 356 schools and 22 education administration offices, including the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education itself.
Operating hours vary by facility. Visitors can check the location and hours of individual parking lots through Gongyunuri, a public shared-resource portal.
On the final day of the holiday, Sept. 27, vehicles must be moved before each facility's designated closing time.
"I hope that homebound travelers and local residents can enjoy a happy and worry-free holiday without having to stress about parking," Daegu Metropolitan Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee said.
