Actor So Yu-jin has shown remarkable loyalty to her team by gifting every member of the production crew on her home shopping program with pure gold.

According to So's agency, Blue Dragon Entertainment, she recently presented each staff member of "So Yu-jin Show" — a flagship program on GS Shop, commonly known as "So Show" — with a one-don pure gold bar to mark the show's second anniversary and the upcoming chuseok holiday.

So personally prepared the gifts to express her gratitude to the staff who had worked alongside her to build the program over the past two years.

The gesture also carried a symbolic message tied to this year being the Year of the Red Horse — a wish to keep running together with "So Show" for years to come, much like the spirit of a galloping horse.

So handed over the gold bars with a quip — "Make sure you sell them when times get tough" — drawing laughter on set. A crew member said afterward that while gold itself was a meaningful gift, they were even more touched that So had remembered and looked after the production team.

"So Show" made its debut in September 2024 as a flagship GS Shop program. It drew attention by surpassing 10 billion won ($7.43 million) in cumulative orders within just three months, eventually reaching 14 billion won.

Meanwhile, actor So Ji-sub earlier made headlines after it emerged that he had given about 300 cast and crew members a 1-gram mini gold bar each out of his own pocket following the conclusion of the SBS drama series "Agent Kim Reactivated," which wrapped up in July. The cost of the gold bars alone was reported to be around 100 million won.

Actor Cha Tae-hyun also surprised those around him when he revealed on a broadcast in 2023 that he had been giving gold to staff at the end of every project — saying it came to about 40 million won each time and that he had done so roughly seven times.
