PharmaResearch has donated hundreds of millions of won worth of its moisturizing treatment to help atopic skin disease patients and underprivileged children access care.

The regenerative medicine company said Monday it would donate 8,000 units of its adhesive transparent wound dressing "Rejuderm Ato Cream MD," valued at 320 million won ($238,000), to three public-interest organizations.

The Korean Atopic Dermatitis Association will receive 3,000 units, ChildFund Korea 3,500 units, and Save the Children 1,500 units. The products will be distributed through each organization's welfare network to patients requiring specialized skin disease management and to low-income families with children.

Rejuderm Ato Cream MD is a Class 2 medical device that forms a physical protective barrier over damaged skin, preventing moisture loss and shielding the skin. It contains hydrolyzed DNA (c-PDRN), a proprietary patented ingredient developed by PharmaResearch, and is currently used primarily as a non-reimbursed prescription treatment at dermatology and pediatric clinics.

PharmaResearch said the donation is intended to improve treatment access for vulnerable patients facing growing financial burdens after insurers tightened reimbursement requirements for non-reimbursed moisturizers, while also delivering social value through the company's core regenerative-medicine products.

"We hope this donation provides meaningful, practical support to patients and children whose daily lives are affected by skin conditions," CEO Son Ji-hun said. "We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility by growing alongside local communities, drawing on our products and R&D capabilities."
