The dental laboratory technology program at Daegu Health College operated an experience and promotional booth at the "2026 Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education Vocational Education Fair — Specialized and Meister High School Festival," held Wednesday and Thursday at the first floor of the west wing of EXCO in Daegu.
The fair was co-hosted by the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education and the Daegu-North Gyeongsang Province Regional Office of Small and Medium Venture Enterprises, drawing about 5,000 participants — including students, teachers and parents from 20 vocational high schools and 126 middle schools, as well as officials from related organizations and local residents.
The dental laboratory technology program introduced middle and high school students to advanced dental technology centered on digital dentistry, along with the duties of dental laboratory technicians.
Students took part in hands-on activities to observe how digital technology is applied in the fabrication of dental prosthetics, and received explanations about related career paths and curricula.
Park Gwang-sik, head of the dental laboratory technology program, said the department would continue expanding cooperation with education authorities and local industry "so that students can lead the future healthcare field, and we will do our best to train dental technology specialists."
