Uwayapply system goes down at around 5:50 p.m.
A server failure at Uwayapply, a university application processing website, forced authorities to extend the deadline for 2027 college early admissions applications by one hour.
The Korea Council for University Education announced Friday that it had pushed back the application deadline for the 2027 academic year's early admissions round from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., citing a server error at Uwayapply that began at around 5:50 p.m. The outage left some applicants unable to complete their submissions and payments before the original cutoff.
However, universities that had already set their own deadlines after 6 p.m. that day are not covered by the extension.
Applicants can submit applications to any university by registering as a unified member with either Uwayapply or Jinhak Apply, the two authorized application processing services.
