Lotte said Thursday it held the "2026 Lotte Design Strategy Meeting" at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul, to review its brand identity and design strategy.
About 50 people attended the meeting, now in its third year, including Chairman Shin Dong-bin, the CEO and department heads of Lotte Holdings, and the heads of major group affiliates. This year's meeting was held under the theme "Imagine the Unimagined."
Ahead of the group's 60th anniversary next year, attendees discussed ways to build a design process that would carry forward and develop Lotte's brand philosophy. The process is meant to guide the group going forward, the company said.
The meeting also addressed strategies to combine the group's brand values with AI technology to lead design innovation. Lotte plans to develop the "Lotte AI Design Studio," an internal design platform that would incorporate the group's management, brand and design philosophy into the AI generation and verification process.
The venue also featured an exhibition spotlighting the brands and businesses that have represented Lotte Group since its founding. A booth also introduced cases of product development process innovation that quickly translated customer-focused ideas into concrete results. A creative board made up of Lotte's young designers also unveiled the "Rotylory robot's Lotte World guide service" and an augmented reality-based navigation service, both AI projects.
