The North Gyeongsang Tourism Organization said Thursday that it has selected three scenic walking spots in the province for its September installment of a monthly series called "Meeting Gyeongbuk Travel Through Photos," highlighting places best enjoyed in the cool early-autumn breeze.

The three spots are Yeongdeok Blue Road, Andong Hobannadeurigil and Gumi Geumosan Olle Trail.

Yeongdeok Blue Road is one of Yeongdeok's signature walking routes, running along the blue waters of the East Sea and offering close-up views of dramatic coastal scenery. Walkers can take in a changing panorama along the shoreline, accompanied by cool autumn winds and the sound of the waves.

Andong Hobannadeurigil is a trail built along the waters of the Nakdong River below Andong Dam, where visitors can enjoy scenery that blends the river with surrounding forest. Wooden boardwalks and dirt paths make for a relaxed walk where visitors can feel the change of seasons, making it a good outing for families, couples and friends alike.

Gumi Geumosan Olle Trail is a circular waterside path built along Geumosan Reservoir at the foot of Geumosan. The roughly 2.7-kilometer course alternates between dirt paths and waterside boardwalks, allowing walkers to take in the mountain's natural scenery up close.

"September, when the summer heat eases and cool breezes begin to blow, is a good time to enjoy Gyeongbuk's beautiful nature on foot," said Kim Nam-il, president of the North Gyeongsang Tourism Organization. "I hope people can shed the fatigue of daily life and make healthy memories at Gyeongbuk's diverse walking spots, where mountains, sea and lakes come together."
