Keimyung University's campus has consistently been chosen as a filming location for Korean movies and dramas, the university said.

According to Keimyung University on Thursday, the campus has served as a backdrop for era-defining productions since the 1992 MBC drama series "Eoksae Baram." Its list of credits includes "Sandglass," "Ditto," "Boys Over Flowers," "Thirst," "The Priests," "The Last Princess" and "Mr. Sunshine."

More recently, the campus has hosted filming for the drama series "Teach You a Lesson" and "The Boy at the Back of the Class," as well as the currently airing drama series "Four Hands." It has also been used for idol music videos, expanding the range of content produced there.

More than 120 productions have been filmed on the Keimyung University campus to date.

Girl group RESCENE chose the campus as the main filming location for its music video while preparing its second mini-album "Glow Up" in 2025.

In 2024, SM Entertainment's group RIIZE filmed a music video and jacket photos at the Daemyeong Campus.

University officials attributed the campus's enduring popularity as a filming site to its distinctive spatial identity.

The Daemyeong Campus, in particular, features classical architecture and a European atmosphere reminiscent of Ivy League universities in the United States. Red brick buildings covered in ivy naturally create cinematic scenes there.

The Seongseo Campus, meanwhile, combines cohesive red brick architecture with modern structures, making it suitable for filming dramas and movies across various genres.

The addition of Keimyung Hanhak Village, a space where tradition and modernity coexist, further provides ideal conditions for productions requiring a historical setting.

"The campus itself has the structure and aesthetic elements to function like one giant set, which is why we continue to receive inquiries from various production companies," said Baek Soon-hyun, director of external cooperation at Keimyung University. "Its role is expanding beyond an educational space into a hub for cultural content production."
