Golf brand TaylorMade said Wednesday that it has released a limited-edition TP5 golf ball in South Korea to commemorate Team TaylorMade golfer Ryu Hae-ran's back-to-back major victories in the 2026 season.
The "2026 Back-to-Back Major Wins Commemorative Ball: Ryu Hae-ran TP5" is a limited edition modeled on the ball design Ryu herself uses. It features the historic major-round score of 60 that Ryu shot this year at the Amundi Evian Championship. A sun-shaped symbol representing "hae," the Korean syllable for sun in her name, is also included, together forming a design unique to Ryu.
It is well known that Ryu, who has used TP5 balls for eight years, marks her personal best scores on the balls she plays with. After carding a 10-under 62 in 2024, she changed the number on her ball from 63 to 62 and added a sun-shaped side stamp symbolizing hae in her name, creating her own distinctive TP5 design.
"This product was prepared for golfers who want to own a piece of a moment that marked a milestone in golf history," a TaylorMade representative said. "We hope it gives everyone, regardless of their preferred brand, a chance to celebrate together the fact that this remarkable feat in golf history was achieved by South Korea's Ryu Hae-ran."
