Gift certificates worth 200,000 won go to 125 households

Korea East-West Power Co. held a charity event called "2026 Sharing Together: A Happy Chuseok Basket" together with five district and county family centers in Ulsan on Tuesday, ahead of the chuseok holiday, aiming to support vulnerable residents and boost traditional markets in the region.

The company will provide 125 low-income households in Ulsan with Onnuri gift certificates worth 200,000 won ($149) each, which can be used at traditional markets.

Alongside this, the company is carrying out a range of community outreach programs, including a market shopping event in which employees take part, the distribution of "safety care packages" containing medicine for elderly residents ahead of chuseok, and food packages for low-income families for the holiday.

"We hope that the sharing our employees have prepared can help our neighbors in the community enjoy a bountiful holiday with their families, even if only in a small way," said Kwon Myung-ho, president of Korea East-West Power.
