First 'Believe in Dream-Park' project
Rain garden built with Seoul Green Trust
Porsche Korea said Wednesday its "Believe in Dream-Park" rain garden at Jangpyeong Neighborhood Park in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, won the Corporate Partnership Award at the "2026 Seoul Garden City Awards." The award recognizes its contribution to urban greening and biodiversity.
The Seoul Garden City Awards recognize outstanding efforts by citizens, organizations and companies to expand garden culture and greenery across the city. A total of 23 winners were selected this year, with the awards ceremony held Monday at Seoul City Hall.
The award recognizes the rain garden as the first project under Porsche Korea's "Believe in Dream-Park" initiative. It has served as green infrastructure that improved the local ecological environment and boosted biodiversity in the community.
In November 2024, Porsche Korea partnered with the Seoul Green Trust to redevelop the aging Jangpyeong Neighborhood Park, creating an approximately 400-square-meter rain garden. The project used mostly native plant species and a stream-like structure that allows rainwater to naturally collect and circulate, creating an ecological environment where diverse plants and animals can coexist.
The company has also run the "Neighborhood Ecology Explorers Club" with local residents, a citizen science program in which participants observe and record the park's plant life and biodiversity. In addition, it has worked to improve habitat conditions for urban wild bees, including installing bee houses.
Since 2021, Porsche Korea has partnered with the Seoul Green Trust on "Believe in Dream," an urban beekeeping and green space expansion project. The initiative aims to boost biodiversity and improve neighborhood green environments in the city.
Following the first "Believe in Dream-Park" rain garden in 2024, the company completed a second one, called "Slow Garden," at Jangan Neighborhood Park in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, in 2025. This year, the project will expand beyond Seoul for the first time, with a third "Believe in Dream-Park" planned at Yeongheung Forest Park in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.
"Believe in Dream-Park is a project we started to create new ecological value by restoring aging green spaces together with local communities," said Matthias Busse, president of Porsche Korea. "We are glad that our consistent efforts to bring positive change to urban ecological environments have been recognized."
Meanwhile, Porsche Korea has also continued corporate social responsibility activities in various fields to expand its brand presence. It recently served as a sponsor of the "K-Heritage Art Exhibition, Lines of Connection," held at Nakseonjae, part of the UNESCO World Heritage site Changdeokgung.
