Dalseo-gu in Daegu will host the "2026 Dukun Dukun Festival" under the slogan "Together, Heart Pounding! Happy Dalseo" at Wolgwang Waterside Park from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

This year's festival makes use of the park's natural surroundings, transforming the venue into a single "forest of happiness."

The event is organized into five themed spaces — meeting, marriage, family, coexistence and the forest of happiness. Together, they are meant to convey how the excitement of youth leads to meeting someone, marriage and family happiness, which then spreads outward into happiness for the wider community.

Each themed space offers a variety of activities, including couple experience programs, wedding and photography consultations, family-friendly activities, youth support programs and a flea market.

The "forest of happiness" section, in particular, will feature youth busking performances, a marriage-themed photo zone, and a lawn rest area equipped with beanbags and parasols. Visitors can enjoy performances there while taking in a relaxed autumn evening.

The ceremony will open with a preliminary performance, followed by citations for those who have contributed to promoting marriage and a marriage-promotion performance.

Alongside this, residents can take part in a range of hands-on programs held throughout the festival grounds. These include "Daldal Date," the "Worry Shredder," the "Tree of Happiness," the "Love Call Center," a stamp tour and a social media photo event.

Built around the theme of the "forest of happiness," the festival carries a message of hope. It suggests that the excitement of youth leads to happy marriages and families, which in turn expands into happiness for the local community.
