Daegu Metro Line 3, which had been halted by a power supply failure, resumed normal operations Tuesday morning.
According to the city of Daegu, power to Line 3 suddenly cut out at around 7:40 p.m. Monday before service was restored at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The failure brought the entire line to a standstill at around 7:38 p.m. Monday. Partial service between Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital Station and Dalseong Park Station resumed about 30 minutes later, at around 8:10 p.m.
The Daegu Urban Railway Corporation said it believes the outage was caused by a break in a lightning protection cable on the section between Suseong Market Station and Children's Park Station.
Daegu Metro Line 3, which opened on April 23, 2015, is a monorail light rail line connecting Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital Station in Buk-gu to Yongji Station in Suseong-gu.
