Hanjin announced Tuesday that it is handling the full international logistics of domestic broadcasting equipment for the Asian Games in Aichi and Nagoya, Japan, overseeing everything from delivery to the local International Broadcasting Center to retrieval after the Games conclude.

Beginning in early August, Hanjin collected broadcasting equipment in stages from the main broadcast centers of Korea's three major terrestrial broadcasters, located in Yeouido, Ilsan and Sangam. The company then packed the gear in wooden crates suited to each item's specifications, loaded them into containers, transported them to Busan Port, and shipped them to Japan after completing export customs clearance.

The equipment arrived in Japan by sea from Busan and was brought into the International Broadcasting Center after clearing import customs and completing local storage procedures. Hanjin plans to wrap up the full logistics project by handling equipment dismantling and domestic retrieval once the Games are over.

Broadcasting equipment — including cameras and high-value precision audio and video devices — requires careful handling to guard against shocks and vibrations during transport. Hanjin supported the safe delivery and local intake of the equipment through logistics operations tailored to the gear's characteristics and the demands of international shipping.

"We are rooting for our athletes to perform well and win, and we will do our utmost to provide flawless logistics support — including the safe and precise transport of broadcasting equipment — so that the excitement from the field reaches the public without interruption," a Hanjin official said.

Hanjin has consistently built its expertise in sports logistics by handling major international sporting events.

The company has managed logistics for large-scale international competitions including the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and Paralympics, the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and the 2024 Paris Summer Games.

In addition, Hanjin handled the transport of broadcasting equipment for the North and Central America international football tournament in June, and also took charge of transporting overseas racehorses for the 2026 Korea Cup international equestrian competition.

Meanwhile, Hanjin recently participated as the logistics operator for an emergency relief supply transport project for victims of severe flooding in Nepal, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Korea International Cooperation Agency, completing the shipment of relief goods — part of the company's active engagement in social contribution activities across various fields.
