Musinsa submitted a preliminary listing application to the Korea Exchange for the Kospi market on Monday.
The fashion platform was founded in June 2012. As of the application date, CEO Cho Man-ho and 26 other shareholders collectively hold a 54.2 percent stake.
The company has been expanding steadily. Its consolidated revenue for the first half of this year reached 821.7 billion won ($606 million), up 22.5 percent from the same period last year. On a separate basis, last year's revenue came to 1.35 trillion won, with operating profit of 145.8 billion won. The company posted a net loss of 10.6 billion won.
"This preliminary review is intended to examine the feasibility of a listing, which we are considering as a funding option to support our growth as a global company," Musinsa said. "We plan to verify whether we meet the listing requirements and assess the practical benefits of going public."
