South Chungcheong Province is set to host a career fair where young jobseekers can meet working professionals from major corporations and public institutions and hear firsthand about their roles and hiring experiences.

The provincial government announced Tuesday that it will hold the "2026 South Chungcheong Province Youth Job Planning Day" on Saturday at Geumgang Singwan Park in Gongju.

The event is designed to help local youth explore career paths and plan their job searches, offering programs including mentoring sessions with working professionals, AI job-experience activities, career counseling and employment styling consultations.

The event is also tied to the "2026 Peak Time Festival," a national youth festival, to broaden participation and allow attendees to experience a full range of career and employment programs in one place.

The centerpiece of the event — mentoring by working professionals — will feature participants from 24 companies and public institutions, including Samsung, SK Group, Hyundai, LG Group, Lotte, Kia, Siemens, Qatar Airways, Korea National Railway and the Small Enterprise and Market Service.

Attendees will hear directly from professionals across fields including human resources, finance, facilities, marketing, design, sales and research and development about their day-to-day work, how they prepared for employment and what skills are valued on the job.

Each mentoring session will run 20 minutes. Slots can be reserved in advance through the event website or secured on the day itself, and informal drop-in mentoring will also be available after the scheduled sessions.

Alongside the mentoring, the event will offer an AI job-experience zone where visitors can interact with AI robots, try a virtual reality-based child development diagnostic tool and handle a robotic hand powered by physical AI technology. Tailored employment support services — including career counseling and styling consultations — will also be available.

Job-support centers from four universities in the province — Namseoul University, Baekseok University, Soonchunhyang University and Chungwoon University — will also take part and introduce their respective employment support services.

DJ New Jins-nim is scheduled to open the event with a performance, after which he will tour the venue to interact with and encourage the young attendees.

Youth interested in attending can find details on the 2026 South Chungcheong Province Youth Job Planning Day website.

"We hope this event gives young people the chance to meet professionals from a wide range of companies and public institutions, hear real stories from the workplace and map out their own career paths in concrete terms," a provincial official said. "Since employment mentoring, AI job experiences and a variety of career support programs are all available in one place, we encourage as many interested young people as possible to come."
