The shooting team of Gyeongbuk College claimed the women's 10-meter air rifle team title at the 19th Presidential Security Service Cup National Shooting Championship, held from Aug. 31 to Sunday, marking the team's second consecutive national championship.

The team also finished third in both the women's 50-meter three-position and 50-meter prone team events, posting its best overall results since its founding and again demonstrating its standing among the country's top collegiate shooting programs.

The winning women's 10-meter air rifle team comprised Mo Su-jeong, a first-year student in the Police Aviation Security Department from Ulsan; Lee Ye-jun, a second-year student in the same department from Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province; Jeong Da-in, a second-year student in the Fire Safety Engineering Department from Wonju, Gangwon Province; and Choi Jeong-yun, a second-year student in the Fire Safety Engineering Department from Daegu.

The third-place finishes in the women's 50-meter three-position and prone team events showed the squad's ability to compete across multiple disciplines rather than excelling in a single event.

In individual competition, four athletes set personal records and two advanced to the finals, confirming the continued growth of individual team members.

President Choi Jae-hyeok said he was proud of the student athletes for winning a second consecutive national title amid fierce competition from top collegiate shooters across the country. "This achievement is a precious result made possible by the effort of the student athletes, the dedication of their coaches, and the support of the entire university community," he said.
