The North Gyeongsang Webtoon Campus, operated by the North Gyeongsang Cultural Foundation's Content Promotion Agency, will host a solo exhibition by local artist Momori titled "I'm Going Bald..!" at its first-floor exhibition hall on Hwangni-dan-gil in Gyeongju from Sept. 7 to Sept. 30, the campus announced Thursday.
The exhibition draws on the artist's personal experience with hair loss — a concern that can affect anyone yet is rarely spoken about openly — and reframes it as an approachable, relatable story.
Momori appears as the protagonist of her own work, depicting everyday episodes and shifting emotions as she confronts hair loss through her characteristically lighthearted perspective.
"Hair loss can feel utterly devastating and heartbreaking, but I hope this exhibition gives people a chance to talk about it with a little more humor," Momori said.
Lee Jong-su, director of the Content Promotion Agency, said webtoons are a genre capable of turning not only grand subjects but also everyday experiences anyone can relate to into compelling content. "I hope visitors enjoy Momori's honest and cheerful artistic world and discover the wide range of expression that webtoons make possible," he said.
