Volvo Car Korea announced Wednesday that customers who purchase a 2026 model-year mild hybrid (MHEV) or plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicle during September will receive an extended warranty of seven years or 140,000 kilometers.

The offer applies to all MHEV and PHEV models currently on sale in South Korea, spanning the full lineup from flagship models such as the XC90 and S90 down to the XC60, V60 Cross Country and XC40.

Customers who take delivery during the promotional period will also benefit from a reduced individual consumption tax. The powertrain warranty — covering major engine components, the transmission and drivetrain, and electronic control units — extends from the standard five years or 100,000 km to seven years or 140,000 km.

If a vehicle is sold before the warranty expires, the remaining coverage transfers in full to the next owner.

Also available is an interest-free installment program of up to 60 months for buyers of the XC60 T8 and V60 Cross Country. Customers who pay roughly 39 percent of the vehicle price upfront using Shinhan Card can spread the remaining balance into equal payments at no additional interest.

The XC60 T8 is Volvo's global best-selling SUV, equipped with an 18.8 kWh lithium-ion battery that delivers up to 61 km of pure electric range on a single charge. Standard features include advanced safety technology embodying Volvo's safety leadership, the next-generation Volvo Car UX interface, a Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system, and an Advanced Air Cleaner (AAC) system.

The V60 Cross Country occupies a segment Volvo has made its own. It combines a raised ride height, rugged exterior detailing and an all-wheel-drive system to deliver a comfortable ride across varied weather conditions and road surfaces.

Meanwhile, Volvo Korea has been actively expanding its cultural partnerships to broaden customer touchpoints, including providing vehicles for the Coupang Play series "The Affair Was Just the Beginning" and the recently concluded tvN weekend drama series "Spellbound."
