Golfzon announced Monday that the team of Lee Jeong-ung and Lee Jin-kyung won the final of the Shab20 G Tour Super Match, a mixed-team screen golf competition held Saturday at the Golfzon Tower Seoul media studio. The tournament carried a total purse of 30 million won ($21,800), with 13 million won going to the winners.
The quarterfinals were held across four rounds on Aug. 20 and Friday, and the semifinals took place earlier that day. Lee Jeong-ung and Lee Jin-kyung advanced to face the team of Kim Hong-taek and Yun Gyu-mi in the championship round. The final was played on Golfzon's "Haebi-chi Seoul" course, rated difficulty level 4, which features pronounced elevation changes on every hole and varied fairway contours, demanding smart course management to handle both tee shots and shifting pin positions.
Trailing by one stroke at the turn, Lee Jeong-ung and Lee Jin-kyung seized the lead at the 12th hole when Lee Jeong-ung converted a difficult uphill birdie. The team kept the momentum going, adding six more birdies to finish at 10-under par and win by six strokes over Kim Hong-taek and Yun Gyu-mi.
"My partner Lee Jeong-ung helped me stay relaxed, and I think that made all the difference," Lee Jin-kyung said. "I'm also grateful to Kim Hong-taek and Yun Gyu-mi for a great match." Lee Jeong-ung added, "I'm thrilled to have won such a meaningful title thanks to the great teamwork with Lee Jin-kyung, who trusted me completely throughout. I want to thank the staff and fans for their continued support."
