Incheon's Seohaegu district has opened the Gajwa National Sports Center.
According to the district office, the center at 135 Gajeong-ro was built at a total project cost of around 26 billion won ($18.8 million), spanning three above-ground floors and one below-ground floor with a total floor area of 5,589 square meters.
The facility includes a swimming pool, fitness center, program rooms, a multipurpose gymnasium and parking.
A range of lifestyle sports programs — including swimming, badminton and Pilates — are set to be offered, making the center a multigenerational space for residents from children to seniors.
The center ran a free trial operation from Monday through Saturday and will begin regular operations Tuesday.
