Brand day set for Wednesday at kt Wiz Park in Suwon
100 BYD customer teams to be invited
Sea Lion 6 DM-i and other vehicles on display for test drives
DT Networks, an official BYD Korea dealer, is teaming up with professional baseball club kt Wiz to expand its customer outreach. The company will invite 100 teams of BYD vehicle owners to a home game and give baseball fans a chance to see up close the Sea Lion 6 DM-i, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) SUV that recently went on sale in South Korea.
DT Networks announced Monday that it will hold the "DT Networks Brand Day" at kt Wiz Park in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, on Wednesday. The event draws on the official sponsorship the company signed with kt Wiz this year, aiming to reach not only existing BYD customers but also the broader baseball fan base.
DT Networks will select 100 teams through an advance entry draw open to BYD vehicle owners. Those chosen will receive tickets to the kt Wiz home game along with commemorative gifts.
The venue will also feature a vehicle exhibition and test-drive program. Key models including the Sea Lion 6 DM-i will be on display, alongside a photo zone and a photo session with the kt Wiz cheer squad and team mascot.
The Sea Lion 6 DM-i is BYD's first PHEV model introduced to the South Korean market. BYD Korea began delivering the vehicle to domestic customers on Thursday, with the first unit handed over to GS Global, the official import partner for BYD electric buses.
Before the game, DT Networks Chief Executive Kwon Hyeok-min will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. During the game, fan participation events including "BYD Dolphin Dance Time" and "Ground Racing" will be held, with some participants set to receive kt Wiz skybox invitations.
DT Networks has been running advertisements on dugout signage and scoreboards at kt Wiz home games this year. The company also operates a skybox for customers who purchased BYD vehicles through its dealerships, continuing its sports-based customer marketing efforts.
"This event was designed to offer BYD owners a special experience and to introduce BYD's diverse vehicle lineup to baseball fans, building on our partnership with kt Wiz," Kwon said. "We will continue to strengthen DT Networks' customer service through marketing activities that leverage sports and cultural content."
DT Networks is the official BYD dealer under the Deutsch Automobil Group. It currently operates 15 BYD showrooms nationwide — three in Seoul, eight in Gyeonggi Province, three in Busan and one in South Gyeongsang Province — along with six service centers in Seoul's Seocho district and in Bundang, Ilsan and Suwon in Gyeonggi Province, and in Sasang and Dongnae in Busan.
