Kia on Monday released teaser images and a video of The Kia PV7, the second model in its electric purpose-built vehicle (PBV) lineup. The PV7 is a large electric PBV designed to offer flexible, spacious interiors adaptable to a wide range of uses and lifestyles.

Built on Kia's dedicated electric PBV platform, the E-GMP.S, the PV7 extends the company's electrified PBV lineup into the large vehicle segment. Kia said the model is intended to address the rapidly evolving business environments and diverse lifestyle demands of its customers.

The teaser was developed around the PV7's core concept of delivering spaces tailored to varied business and lifestyle needs. Through the video, Kia presented the vehicle's potential as a PBV that can flexibly expand depending on the customer's purpose and usage.

The teaser images and video highlight the PV7's multi-purpose versatility — spanning work, mobility and leisure — alongside a one-box side silhouette. Black hood and pillar garnishes create a sharp contrast with the body color and complement the signature graphics of the front and rear lamps, completing what Kia describes as the distinctive design identity of its PBV line.

Leveraging the E-GMP.S platform, the PV7 is set to deliver a wide, flexible interior capable of supporting professional work environments as well as everyday travel and leisure, offering customers a new mobility experience across a broad range of uses.

Kia will give the PV7 its world premiere at IAA Transportation 2026, the world's largest commercial vehicle trade show, to be held in Hanover, Germany, from Sept. 14 to 20.

At the event, Kia plans to unveil the PV7 alongside its broader PBV strategy and vision, and will display a range of PV5 derivative models to showcase the product appeal and scalability of its expanding PBV lineup across different customer use cases.

Meanwhile, the PV5, which launched last year, was named the 2026 World Van of the Year at Solutrans 2025, a commercial vehicle exhibition held in Lyon, France, in November of that year — the first time a Korean brand had received the honor, affirming the model's strong product credentials.

Sales figures have further validated the PV5's appeal. As of this month, the model has sold around 39,000 units in global markets. In South Korea, it made waves in February by becoming the first electric vehicle to top sales in the commercial vehicle segment.
