Singer Lee Chan-won has spoken candidly about his thoughts on marriage.

Lee joined the MBN and Channel S variety show "Jeonhyeonmu Plan 4" as a special MC filling in for Kwak Tube on Friday's episode, accompanying host Jeon Hyun-moo on a trip to Daegu, Lee's hometown.

Over a meal of spicy braised ribs, Jeon raised a long-held grievance, telling Lee that despite all the programs they had done together, Lee had once said he wanted to work with Kang Ho-dong. Lee drew a distinction in response: "Kang Ho-dong is the person who gave birth to me in broadcasting, while Hyun-moo is the person walking that path alongside me right now."

Jeon fired back with a laugh, asking, "So Kang Ho-dong is the midwife? And I'm just someone who happened to be walking by and ended up next to you?"

When Jeon asked about his marriage plans, Lee answered without hesitation, saying he planned to marry "around age 45."

He went on to say that before his debut, he could not afford his tuition and had worked part-time jobs to get through university. "That's why, now that things have gone so well, I place a great deal of value on my work," he said.

Lee also expressed musical ambition, saying he wanted to release a hit song "the whole nation would know."

Meanwhile, Lee, born in 1996, has been active across a range of television programs, including KBS2's "Pyeonstorang" and "Immortal Songs."
