Third round open until Sept. 9; SMEs with 2025 exports of $10,000 or more eligible

EMS and other postal services discounted up to 40%; agency to cover additional 30%

The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency will cover up to 10 million won ($7,240) per company in international postal logistics costs to ease the shipping burden on small and medium-sized exporters.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the agency are accepting applications for the third round of the 2026 postal international logistics support project through Sept. 9, with 500 companies to be selected. Small and medium-sized enterprises that use or plan to use postal export logistics services and recorded exports of at least $10,000 in 2025 are eligible.

Eligible services include Express Mail Service, EMS Premium, K-Packet and small parcel shipping.

Selected companies will receive both a rate discount from Korea Post and a direct subsidy from the agency when using postal international logistics services. EMS and EMS Premium will be discounted up to 40 percent off the standard rate, while K-Packet and small parcel services will be discounted up to 20 percent.

Separately, the agency will cover up to 30 percent of the cost of using postal international logistics services. The subsidy is calculated based on the standard rate before any postal discounts are applied, meaning companies can receive both the postal discount and the agency subsidy at the same time.

The initial support limit is 5 million won per company, with an additional 5 million won available once that amount is used, bringing the total ceiling to 10 million won per company. Support runs from the date of selection through the end of December. Applications are accepted online through GoBizKorea until 6 p.m. on Sept. 9.

Korea SMEs and Startups Agency Chairman Kang Seok-jin said the program aims to help both new and established exporters use postal international logistics services at lower cost. "We hope this will ease the logistics burden and strengthen export competitiveness amid an uncertain global environment," he said.
