Spaces tailored to individual tastes through color, material and pattern combinations
Social media teaser hits 400,000 views in two days; full video surpasses 500,000
Gangnam flagship store to open experiential space in September
LX Hausys is stepping up its push into the consumer market by leading with interiors that reflect individual tastes in color, material and pattern. The company's strategy is to expand its consumer touchpoints by moving beyond selling individual building materials to proposing entire spaces designed around a single aesthetic sensibility.
LX Hausys announced Thursday that it would strengthen its consumer-facing interior business this fall under the marketing slogan "Discovering Your Taste." The concept moves away from selecting walls, floors, windows, kitchen furniture and storage units separately, instead guiding customers to combine colors, materials, textures and patterns into a cohesive space.
The move comes as the interior industry broadly shifts toward whole-room proposals and experiential stores, with LX Hausys seeking to differentiate itself through more granular, taste-based space recommendations.
A teaser advertisement for "Discovering Your Taste," posted to LX Hausys' official Instagram account on Wednesday, surpassed 400,000 views within two days of its release. The ad shows how combinations of color, material and pattern — the core elements of interior design — can produce a wide variety of distinct spaces.
LX Hausys named branding expert Noh Hee-young, chief executive of Hino Consulting Firm, as brand ambassador. On Thursday, the company released a video through Noh's YouTube channel documenting the remodeling of an existing apartment and showcasing the finished space. The video surpassed 500,000 views almost immediately after its release, drawing strong attention from consumers planning fall interior renovations.
The company also plans to expand its offline experiential presence. In September, LX Hausys will open a dedicated "Discovering Your Taste" space at its LX Z:IN flagship store in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Rather than displaying different products in separate rooms — kitchen, living room, entryway, laundry room, walk-in closet and bathroom — the space will be designed as a unified environment reflecting a single aesthetic.
"More and more customers want to style their spaces according to their own tastes, even when they live in apartments with identical floor plans," an LX Hausys official said. "We will continue to introduce a wide range of interior products and experiential spaces that allow customers to express their individual style."
