Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle brand of China's Geely Automobile Group, is expanding its reach among South Korean consumers with the mid-size electric SUV 7X. A five-day pop-up store at Starfield Hanam drew more than 11,000 visitors.
Zeekr Korea said Wednesday it had wrapped up the Zeekr 7X pop-up store, which ran at the Central Atrium of Starfield Hanam from Friday to Tuesday. The event was designed with the family-oriented nature of the shopping complex in mind, allowing visitors to check the interior space, storage capacity and convenience features firsthand.
About 1,500 people took part in hands-on experience programs during the event. A mobile stamp tour let visitors operate the auto doors and a refrigerator-and-warmer display, take photos with the second-row camera and explore the under-seat storage compartments. Sales consultants were on hand to explain vehicle features and assist with purchase inquiries.
The pop-up showcased the 7X in its Ultra and Max trims. Both models are equipped with a 100 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery from CATL.
The top-of-the-line Ultra features a dual-motor setup producing a maximum output of 645 horsepower and peak torque of 72.4 kilogram-meters, with a certified combined range of 440 km on a single charge at normal temperatures. The rear-wheel-drive Max delivers 421 horsepower and 45 kg-m of torque, with a maximum range of 483 km per charge.
The 7X is sold in three trims — Pro, Max and Ultra — priced at 52.99 million won ($38,400), 59.99 million won and 69.99 million won, respectively.
"This pop-up store was a meaningful occasion where a great many visitors, including families, were able to experience firsthand the luxury technology-based brand identity and differentiated lifestyle values that the Zeekr 7X embodies," a Zeekr Korea official said. "We are grateful for the enthusiastic interest and support shown on the ground, and we will continue to expand our touchpoints with customers to further solidify our position in the domestic electric vehicle market."
Zeekr unveiled the 7X as its first model for the South Korean market in June and opened pre-orders, which surpassed 1,000 units within a month.
The company is also expanding its sales network in South Korea. It currently operates nine showrooms nationwide, including in Seoul, the greater metropolitan area, Daejeon and Busan, and plans to increase that number to 14 by year's end. Zeekr has also established 11 service centers across the country, including on Jeju.
