Dongguk University WISE Campus held its 2026 fall commencement ceremony Friday at Wise Hall in the Centennial Memorial Building on campus.

A total of 873 degrees were conferred at the ceremony — 792 bachelor's, 73 master's and eight doctoral degrees.

Attendees included Ven. Dongwan, chairman of the Dongguk University board of directors; Ryu Wan-ha, president of Dongguk University WISE Campus; Yoon Jae-woong, president of Dongguk University; and Moon Sun-bae, president of the university's general alumni association, along with other senior officials from the foundation and the university.

In his commencement address, Yoon said he was proud of the graduates, who had grown stronger through wisdom, compassion and perseverance. "I hope you will carry on the brilliant history of our alumni and become the driving force that illuminates society," he said.

Ven. Dongwan offered words of encouragement, urging graduates to share the fruits of their learning with those around them. "I hope you will become proud members of the Dongguk community who warm and brighten society by sharing the wisdom and compassion you have cultivated on campus," he said.

Ryu congratulated the graduates on their new beginnings, saying they had grown into ethical leaders, creative intellectuals and enterprising challengers within WISE Campus's innovative educational environment of specialized modular and convergence programs. "We cheer you on as you realize your dreams and achieve your goals across every field of society," he said.

Moon told graduates he hoped they would forge their own paths with courage and a spirit of challenge, and carry on the university's proud legacy. "All 350,000 alumni will always support and cheer on the graduates as they step out into society," he said.
