The HS Hwaseong volunteer corps visited a senior care facility in Nowon-dong, Buk-gu, Daegu on Saturday to carry out a day of community service.
The facility provides a range of care services aimed at maintaining cognitive function and emotional stability in seniors with early-stage dementia.
Volunteers cleaned household items and common areas to improve the living environment and organized a kimchi-making event to help residents enjoy a safer and more comfortable daily life.
The group also replaced an aging refrigerator with a new one, further improving conditions at the facility.
About 20 people took part in the event, including 14 new employees who joined the company this year and worked alongside veteran volunteers — reinforcing the corps' commitment to community sharing.
Kim Sang-heon, head of the HS Hwaseong volunteer corps, said it was a meaningful occasion to personally tend to the spaces used by elderly residents and assess what they needed. "We will consistently continue sharing activities with our employees to deliver practical help wherever it is needed," he said.
