Oksun, who appeared on Season 16 of the reality dating show "Naneun Solo," has pushed back against reports describing her recent split as her "second divorce" — four months after she remarried.

Oksun posted on social media Thursday saying that over time she and her husband had found they were not fully compatible. "After much deliberation and many conversations, we decided to go our separate ways," she wrote. "I sincerely wish him happiness in his own life, and we parted on good terms."

When news articles about the split began describing it as her "second divorce," Oksun posted again to correct the record. "Some articles are using the phrase 'second divorce,' and I want to set that straight," she wrote. She explained that after registering the marriage, she had decided to end things immediately upon hearing her parents' advice, and that the current separation came later, after the two had been getting along well but ultimately found they were incompatible.

The confusion stems from her ambiguous phrasing — that she had "registered the marriage but immediately decided to end things."

Under South Korean law, a marriage registration cannot simply be canceled once filed. Annulment requires a family court ruling and is granted only under specific legal grounds, such as fraud, coercion, involvement of a minor under 18 or a marriage between close relatives.

As a result, it remains unclear exactly what Oksun meant when she said she "registered the marriage and then ended things" — her explanation alone does not clarify the legal specifics of what occurred.

Oksun appeared on Season 16 of "Naneun Solo," a program for previously married singles that aired on ENA and SBS Plus in 2023. She revealed at the time that she had met her first ex-husband at a social gathering, registered their marriage after just three meetings, wed about two months later, and then divorced roughly 45 days — about a month and a half — after the wedding.

In April, she announced that she had registered a marriage with a boyfriend known to be wealthy. "Going forward, we will live taking deeper responsibility for each other's lives," she said at the time.
