Singer Baek Ji-young is set to appear at stage greeting events for "Sarangeui Hachyuping: Gorae Boseok-eui Jeonseol," a theatrical entry in the Tinnyping animated series.
According to entertainment industry sources Thursday, Baek will meet audiences at CGV Deungchon in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, before and after screenings of the film on Aug. 29.
Baek sang "My First Time" for the film alongside actor Jeong Ji-so. The song captures the mother-daughter story of Romi and Bellita, and has drawn wide attention — numerous audience members have reported that mothers who brought their children to see the film were moved to tears when the song played.
Starting at CGV Deungchon on Aug. 29, Baek will hold stage greetings at CGV Dongtan, Dongtan Lake Park, Guro, Lotte Cinema Dongtan and Megabox The Boutique Mokdong Hyundai Department Store. On Aug. 30, she will continue at CGV Yongsan iPark Mall, Wangsimni, Godeok Gangil, Lotte Cinema World Tower and Cheongnyangni, as well as Megabox COEX.
The film follows Romi and Hachyuping on an adventure to rescue Romi's mother, who has vanished into the sea. As of Thursday, it has drawn a cumulative audience of 710,000, placing it fifth on the box office chart, according to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing network.
Baek married actor Jung Suk-won in June 2013, and the couple welcomed a daughter, Haim, in 2017.
