More than 140 South Korean small and medium-sized enterprises will gather in Las Vegas to promote K-consumer goods to over 30,000 local import and retail professionals.
The Korea Federation of SMEs announced Thursday that it will join forces with the Korean American Chamber of Commerce USA to operate a large-scale Korea pavilion — dubbed the K-Goods Fair — at ASD Market Week 2026, running Aug. 25 through Aug. 27 (local time) in Las Vegas.
ASD Market Week traces its origins to the exchange of surplus war materials after World War II and has since grown into the Americas' premier consumer goods trade show, drawing more than 30,000 import and retail professionals from the United States and Latin America.
This year, organizers will run the K-Goods Fair as an "exhibition within an exhibition," leveraging the existing show's infrastructure and buyer network to present Korean products under a single unified brand. More than 140 SMEs in consumer goods categories — including beauty and household products — will participate across 150 booths as they push into the Americas market.
To draw local buyers to the Korea pavilion, the Korea Federation of SMEs will install large outdoor advertisements in the venue lobby, directional signboards and display cases allowing visitors to preview featured products in advance.
Inside the pavilion, visitors will find a large beauty and lifestyle product experience zone, makeup demonstration events, K-content tie-in programs and four-cut photo booths — all designed to let buyers interact directly with Korean products.
KOTRA will also participate by identifying prospective local buyers in advance based on each participating company's product category. An open-format business consultation area will be set up on the show floor to facilitate meetings and deal-making between Korean SMEs and local buyers.
Emerald X, the event's organizer, has designated South Korea as a featured promotional country and will provide advance publicity through major local media outlets, a dedicated Korea pavilion website, distribution of online seller profiles and pre-event education sessions for Korean companies.
Buying managers from major US retailers — including Walmart, Costco, Ross and Marshalls — are also expected to be invited for consultations. The Korea Federation of SMEs hopes the event will help participating companies expand their reach beyond the United States into Latin American markets as well.
A defining feature of the event is its departure from the conventional model of individual SMEs attending overseas trade shows separately. Instead, more than 140 companies are being brought together under the single "K-consumer goods" brand to present a unified front to local buyers. The industry is watching closely to see whether the initiative — which spans not only beauty but also household goods and other consumer categories, and links participants directly with major US retailers — will translate into actual shelf placements and export contracts in the American market.
