Toss Securities announced Thursday it is running a joint promotion with CJ Olive Young through Sept. 5, offering mobile gift vouchers and domestic stock giveaways.

The event is open to all Toss Securities customers and CJ Olive Young members. It is designed to give CJ Olive Young shoppers a taste of investing while offering Toss Securities customers shopping perks.

New customers without a Toss Securities basic account can receive a CJ Olive Young mobile gift voucher worth 20,000 won ($14) immediately upon completing the sign-up and account-opening process through the "Open a Toss Securities Account" button inside the CJ Olive Young app.

Existing Toss Securities basic account holders can enter by verifying their CJ Olive Young membership and Toss Securities account status on the respective event pages of both companies. Those who then make a purchase on CJ Olive Young — regardless of the amount spent — will be entered into a draw for one share of a popular domestic stock, with 200 winners selected at random.

Toss Securities customers using the CJ Olive Young app for the first time will also receive a 10,000-won discount coupon to mark their first purchase.

Toss Securities is also running a standing promotion offering one domestic stock share to first-time account openers.

Eligible customers receive one randomly selected share from among Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix — both top-ranked domestic stocks by market capitalization — or a domestic-listed semiconductor ETF ranked among the top 30 by trading volume.

However, this standing promotion cannot be combined with the account-opening reward from the current CJ Olive Young partnership event.

"Through this event, we hope to provide greater benefits and investment experiences to both CJ Olive Young members and Toss Securities customers," a Toss Securities official said. "We hope more customers will feel the power of investing through Toss Securities."

As of July, the cumulative number of Toss Securities account holders surpassed 10 million, with monthly active users reaching about 6.5 million. The brokerage has been rapidly expanding its customer base through an intuitive interface accessible to anyone on mobile and PC.
