CJ Logistics has partnered with Hyundai Commercial to launch a co-prosperity finance program exclusively for members of its "Deo Unban" freight truck driver platform, the company announced Thursday.

The program offers three financial products — installment financing for new Hyundai Motor Company vehicles, secured loans using commercial vehicles as collateral, and unsecured business credit loans — designed to cover a wide range of needs from new vehicle purchases to everyday living and business operating expenses.

The initiative stems from an exclusive financial partnership agreement the two companies signed in October last year to develop a co-prosperity finance program. At the time, both sides said they would first roll out financial products for CJ Logistics' consignment truck drivers and partner companies, then gradually extend the benefits to Deo Unban members.

Deo Unban members can select a financial product and request a consultation through a dedicated Hyundai Commercial menu within the driver app.

To mark the launch, the two companies are running a promotional event through Sept. 3. All members who check their loan limit through the Deo Unban app will receive a 10,000-won ($7) mobile convenience store gift voucher. Those who go on to use a financial product after a consultation will receive an additional 40,000-won voucher, for a maximum benefit of 50,000 won.

CJ Logistics has been steadily expanding benefits for Deo Unban truck drivers that directly affect their earnings, including fuel cost discounts and next-day freight payment.

"We have worked with Hyundai Commercial to put together a financial program that will provide real, practical help for drivers running their businesses," a CJ Logistics official said. "We will continue to expand our services in partnership with a range of partners so that drivers can experience tangible benefits within the Deo Unban platform."
