Shinsegae Department Store is running the Pokémon Tag Star Summer First Challenge pop-up at the first-floor Open Stage of its Gangnam branch through Sunday.

Pokémon Tag Star, launched in April, is an arcade game in which players collect and train Pokémon, battle with them, and turn captured Pokémon into collectible tags.

The event features a beginner program for children 13 and under, a photo zone and 13 game machines. The machines are split into a general play zone and a trainer zone for first-time players aged 13 and under, with different Pokémon tags available in each zone.

Interactive activities are also on offer. At the stamp zone, visitors can play a mini-game tossing a Poké Ball plush toy to knock down tags, spin a Poké Ball roulette wheel, and take photos at a life-size Tag Star cutout. Completing each activity earns a stamp, and customers who collect three stamps receive a Pokémon tag-shaped fan.

"We will continue to collaborate with a wide range of popular intellectual properties to offer customers differentiated experiential content," a Shinsegae Department Store official said.
